How do you build a grass bridge

Whether you need to build a bridge for a school project or you just want to learn how to build a bridge on a small scale, wood gallows are a great material to use to build a model bridge at home. Design your bridge on paper or a computer program, then use a winch and glue or string to build the individual parts of the bridge and assemble them.

Put your materials in place and cut them to size. Place your wooden skewer on top of your sketch to find out the length you need. Use craft scissors or a craft knife to cut any kind of machete to size.

Choose glue or wooden skewers for assembly. Decide if you want to use wood glue or rope to connect the oblique of your bridge design.

Build the trusses first. On a table or other sturdy surface, lay diagonal frames for one of the trusses (supporting "walls" on either side of the deck). You'll need at least two oblique top and bottom "lines," which are the horizontal parts, and at least four diagonal "braces" that connect the top and bottom ropes.

Glue or pull rod string together. Use glue or string to connect each string you arrange for a truss. Apply glue or string to each point of a string or string that touches another point.

Build the deck. Build a deck for walking or driving vehicles on a full-size bridge. Arrange at least two horizontal sections to form deck beams and connect the two trusses at the bottom of the two ends.

Make your bridge stable for small vehicles. Send a small battery car, train, or other model vehicle across your bridge deck, as part of a larger class, or just for the fun itself.
